The Jelgava Holy Trinity Church Tower is one of the most important places to visit in Jelgava. The Church of St. Nicholas was located here until 1944. The Trinity Church, which was one of the first stone buildings in Jelgava and is considered one of the first stone Lutheran churches in Europe. The church tower is the oldest surviving building in Jelgava.

Previously, the Church was the largest in Zemgale and belonged to the German community. The construction of the church began in 1574. The temple was consecrated on May 25, 1615, and the tower was added in 1688. In July 1944, during an air raid, most of Jelgava was destroyed, including the church. Since that time, only the bell tower has been preserved, which, after reconstruction in 2010, is open to visitors. An observation glass platform is open in the tower, from which you can look at the panorama of Jelgava.
