The Louvre Abu Dhabi is a museum and an architectural masterpiece by the Pritzker Prize winner Jean Nouvel. The museum is the result of a collaboration between the Government of the United Arab Emirates and the French Government. It is the only Louvre museum outside France. The Louvre Abu Dhabi opened its doors to the public on November 11, 2017 after a decade of planning and construction.
One of the most impressive features of the Louvre Abu Dhabi is its dome. The dome consists of 7850 unique metal stars arranged in a complex geometric pattern. It creates a beautiful play of light and shadow, creating the effect of a 'rain of light'.
