The Louvre Abu Dhabi is a museum and an architectural masterpiece by the Pritzker Prize winner Jean Nouvel. The museum is the result of a collaboration between the Government of the United Arab Emirates and the French Government. It is the only Louvre museum outside France. The Louvre Abu Dhabi opened its doors to the public on November 11, 2017 after a decade of planning and construction.

A must-visit place. A very atmospheric place, a beautiful play of light from the roof, a lot of paintings that are simply physically impossible to see in detail not only in one, but also in 5 visits. You always find something new for yourself. The ticket is not cheap, but art in general is priceless.

About the museum

One of the most impressive features of the Louvre Abu Dhabi is its dome. The dome consists of 7850 unique metal stars arranged in a complex geometric pattern. It creates a beautiful play of light and shadow, creating the effect of a 'rain of light'.

Museum opening hours

The museum opens at 10 am and closes at midnight, but galleries and exhibitions close at 6:30 pm on weekdays and 8:30 pm on weekends.

The ticket price is 63 dirhams for adults, children under 18 years old can pass for free.
