The United Arab Emirates (UAE) is one of the safest and most beautiful countries in the world. Emirates

The UAE is a federation of seven emirates in the southeast of the Arabian Peninsula. The Emirates take their names from the names of their main cities:

Abu Dhabi is the largest Emirate in terms of size and population. The main city of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi is also the capital of the UAE Federation

Ajman is the smallest Emirate. It covers an area of about 260 sq.km. It is known for its cultural attractions, museums and beaches.

Climate and weather

The UAE is hot all year round. But it's very hot in summer. In winter, the daytime temperature is about 23 degrees, and in the evenings it is 14 degrees. The desert climate implies high temperatures and low rainfall. The exception is the mountainous territories of Ras al Khaimah or Fujairah.

The most pleasant months for a beach holiday are November and April. But in July and August it is so hot outside (the temperature in the shade can reach 41 degrees) that the water in the sea warms up to 33 degrees. At this time, indoor pools with chilled water are the most popular.

Rains are rare in the Emirates, but they sometimes happen in winter.

Sometimes sandstorms occur, during this period it is not necessary to leave the premises without masks and swim in the sea.

What language is spoken

Arabic is the official language of the UAE. Other official languages are Chinese, English, French, Hindi and Russian. They are the ones who take cases in the courts. All road and traffic signs, as well as signs of retail outlets, are in Arabic, but duplicated in English.

Population

December 2 and 3, 2024 is the UAE Independence Day. It marks the formation of the UAE in 1971.

What is prohibited in the UAE

Take pictures of people, military or government facilities. In the UAE, it is forbidden to interfere in personal or family life through photography or audio recording. For taking a photo or recording a voice without consent, you can get up to 7 years in prison. It is strictly forbidden to photograph government and military facilities.

Import, storage or use of narcotic substances and prohibited medicines. The punishment in the form of prison is from 4 years. We recommend that you find out in advance if your medicine is on the prohibited list. The UAE has special equipment that can detect traces of narcotic substances at airports and other public places.

To commit minor administrative violations, such as travel without a ticket, travel of men in women's subway cars, travel in "golden" cars without a corresponding ticket. Heavy fines are provided for each of the violations.

Walking in swimsuits off the beaches. A remark may be made for this, but in the Emirates of Sharjah and Ras al Khaimah, women should not wear swimsuits even on the beaches. Topless tanning or nudism is an article of the UAE Criminal Code and faces a prison term of up to 6 months.
