The Green Planet is a park of exotic tropical flora and fauna for Dubai with more than 3,000 species of plants, animals and birds. It was possible to recreate the necessary climate due to the unique glass bio dome.
The roots of trees feed on moisture
The bio-dome is divided into four levels, each of which has the required level of illumination, temperature and humidity.
Visitors can admire waterfalls and plants, take part in feeding piranhas, watch ring-tailed lemurs, anacondas, porcupine, armadillo, tamandua anteaters, admire slow loris, lace monitor lizard, Burmese pythons, Tokai gecko, sea toads and a host of other unique animals.
Professional biologists will conduct an exciting tour, tell you about all the features of the microclimate and the needs of animals, birds and plants.
The upper part of the bio dome in Dubai
Under the roof of the bio dome, on the topmost level, you can listen to singing of birds.
There are also flying foxes, which originate from the South and Southeast Asia, Australia and East Africa. They can hang upside down and sometimes spread their 1.8-meter wings.
Rain under the dome of the Green Planet
To maintain the necessary climate in the biocupole, rains with thunderstorms are created twice a day. Rains are rare in Dubai, so using an umbrella and enjoying the pleasant humidity is an incredible pleasure. A thunderstorm with lightning under heavy rain lasts for 5 minutes at 1 pm and 5 pm.
The Green Planet will appeal to both adults and children. And even if rainforests and climate are commonplace for you, you will definitely be interested to see the level of modern technology and hear stories about the technologies that made it possible to implement the project.
Until recently, such domes were nothing more than the thought of science fiction. Maybe such domes will begin to be built on Mars soon.
