The memorial complex, opened in February 2018, tells about the founding father of the UAE, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. Visitors can stroll through the 3.3-hectare park, watch multimedia videos and learn more about the life of a man who had a huge impact on both the UAE and the whole world.
The central element of the memorial is a three-dimensional 30-meter portrait of Sheikh Zayed, composed of 1,327 geometric figures suspended from 1,110 cables, created by the outstanding artist Ralph Helmick.
In the evening, the figures shine like stars, symbolizing light for future generations.
A multimedia center is located within the memorial complex, where you can explore unique footage, personal stories, articles and interviews with friends and family of Sheikh Zayed.
