Mark Rothko Gallery, Latvia

The idea to create the Mark Rothko Art Center and its collection arose in 2002, when the organization of celebrations in honor of the centenary of the artist's birth began. The foundation of the collection was laid by the works of the international art plein air. In the future, the collection expanded due to works donated by well-known artists in Latvia and the world, whose biography is associated with this region.
