Jeronimos Monastery (Mosteiro dos Jerónimos) is a monastery and a complex of buildings of the late Gothic Manueline style, built in the 16th century. Kings Manuel I and Juan III, Vasco da Gama, Camoens and Fernando Pessoa are buried here. The building consists of a monastery, a church, a cloister, a library, a confessional and museums. In 1907, Jeronimouche was recognized as a national monument, and in 1983 UNESCO classified it as a "World Heritage Site".
