Faial Island
Faial is one of the islands of the Azores Archipelago. It covers an area of 172 km², which houses many natural and cultural attractions. Faial is of volcanic origin, and in the western part of the island there is a potentially active volcano Capelinhos , which erupts in the late 1950s.
