Vigia da Baleia literally "Whale Watch" is a Whale Viewing Platform - house on the oceanfront, which was built in the 20th century for whale watching. Such viewing platforms are scattered throughout the archipelago and are usually located on a high place with a good view. Now the "whale watches" are not used, and they have become just viewing platforms for tourists.
