Church of the Jesuit College

Jesuit College Church (Igreja do Colégio dos Jesuítas) is a Roman Catholic church in the town of Ponta Delgada on the Azores island of San Miguel. The history of the church dates back to the 16th century. The interior is decorated with panels of traditional Portuguese azulejo tiles, the altar is covered with gold leaf, and the walls attract attention with a large number of decorations carved from acanthus
