Ponta da Ferraria Hot Ocean Spring (Piscina Naturale di Ferreira) is a unique natural phenomenon in the west of the island of San Miguel. The cold ocean water is heated by a hot volcanic thermal spring, which creates a kind of pool where the water temperature reaches 50 degrees.
