Furnas Lake, São Miguel, Azores

Furnas Lake is a picturesque lake on the site of the crater of an ancient volcano. Tourists come here not only for the fabulous scenery, but also for the thermal waters with healing properties, mud boilers and clear water, which is an ideal place for swimming in any season. Furnas Lake is located in the village of the same name in the south of the island of San Miguel.
