The Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk Mud Volcano is a cluster of 20 points of activity with griffins spewing a muddy mixture of a hill rock enriched with thermal waters, particles of sandstone, aragonite, quartz, feldspar, glauconite and mica. The shapes of griffins resemble miniature craters. The height of the eruptions in a mud field of about 200 m² is only 2-4 cm.
