The Church of St. Nicholas in the Narikala Fortress was built in the XIII century. In 1818, a warehouse was equipped on its territory, which detonated during an earthquake in 1827, destroying the church. During excavations in the middle of the 20th century, surviving fragments were discovered, which became part of a new temple built according to an identical design on the same site in 1996.
Take the cable car from Rike Park or climb to the Narikala Fortress on foot or by car.
