About the theatre
Norwegian National Opera and Ballet
Large windows at street level allow the public to see rehearsals and workshops. The opera was designed by the Norwegian architectural firm Snøhetta and has received several prestigious awards. The architects' idea was to build a modern theater building that would fit seamlessly into the urban development, the cliffs of the fjord and the views of the seaport.
