The Garden of Destiny (LikteņDārzs) was conceived as a national gift to Latvia for its 100th anniversary and exists on donations. This place combines the unique landscape architecture with the natural beauty of the Koknese Peninsula near the Daugava River.

Overview of The Garden of Destiny

The composition of the garden was created by the famous Japanese landscape architect Shunmyo Masuno, and was brought to life thanks to the efforts of the Koknese Foundation.

Likteņdārzs

The observation deck and amphitheater are surrounded by 40 oak trees and a canal. A paved alley leads to this place, where everyone can leave their name. On both sides of the alley there are apple trees and another 2,600 trees donated by Latvijas valsts meži and the Latvian Association of Plant Growers. The Likten Gate digital exhibition and the virtual memorial house with a future interactive database tell the story of the times and values of the people.

The Garden of Destiny was created as a gift from the people of Latvia for its centennial anniversary. Thanks to the donations of tens of thousands of people, this park was created.

An apple alley leads to an amphitheater surrounded by oaks. The observation terrace offers a beautiful view of the Daugava River and the Koknese Church. Everyone is greeted by a Heart Stone and other objects. The Garden of Destinies was loved by tourists, families and wedding guests. Cultural events are often held here.
