Overview of The Garden of Destiny

The composition of the garden was created by the famous Japanese landscape architect Shunmyo Masuno, and was brought to life thanks to the efforts of the Koknese Foundation.

The observation deck and amphitheater are surrounded by 40 oak trees and a canal. A paved alley leads to this place, where everyone can leave their name. On both sides of the alley there are apple trees and another 2,600 trees donated by Latvijas valsts meži and the Latvian Association of Plant Growers. The Likten Gate digital exhibition and the virtual memorial house with a future interactive database tell the story of the times and values of the people.
