Crystal Palace Park
The Crystal Palace Gardens (Jardins do Palácio de Cristal) is a garden that boasts vibrant flora, bubbling fountains and one of the best views of the Douro River. Peacocks can be seen here. The name of the park comes from the Crystal Palace, which was demolished in 1956 and replaced by a domed pavilion, which now houses a sports arena and a multifunctional event center.
