The Lello Bookstore (Livraria Lello & Irmão) is one of the most beautiful bookstores in the world. The building with an excellent Neo-Romanesque facade (a mixture of Gothic, Moorish, Renaissance and traditional Portuguese motifs) is no less interesting from the inside: the interior is decorated with a red spiral staircase and stained glass on the ceiling. The store was opened in 1906 by the Lello brothers, and since then has amazed locals and visitors with its unique atmosphere.
