The Ponte de Dona Maria Pia Bridge (Ponte D. Maria Pia) is a railway bridge built by Gustave Eiffel in 1877. The bridge is named after Maria Pia of Savoy, the wife of Monarch Louis I (after whom the bridge in another part of the same Douro River is named).
