Oriente Station

Oriente Station (Gare do Oriente) is a modern transport hub, including a Lisbon metro station, high—speed and commuter train stations and a large shopping center. It was designed by the famous architect Santiago Calatrava. The concept is based on the modernism style with elements of Gothic architecture. The roof of the station resembles the scales and fins of a fish. The opening was timed to coincide with the opening of the World EXPO’98 in 1998.
