The Lado Meskhishvili Professional State Drama Theatre (ლადო მესხიშვილის დრამატული თეატრი) was founded in 1861 and is located in a Renaissance-style building in the very center of Kutaisi. Drama, comedy and musical performances take place here every day. Many actors of the theater are People's Artists of Georgia.
