Bagrat temple (Bagrat Temple, ბაგრატის ტაძარი) is a Cathedral of the assumption, one of the largest historical cathedrals of Georgia. It was built and consecrated in 1003, and in 1089 King David IV was crowned here.
Over the millennia of its history, the temple was in a dilapidated state when it was listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site in 1994, but lost its status in 2017 after reconstruction was carried out in disagreement with UNESCO specialists.
