The Shrob ou Shouf Fountain (The Chrob ou Chouf Fountain) is one of the UNESCO Cultural Heritage sites in the center of the Medina.
The fountain was built in the 16th century during the reign of Ahmed al-Mansour and is one of the oldest fountains in the city. It is a niche in the building, decorated with a carved wooden canopy in the Moorish style. Similar canopies can be seen in the Saadi tombs.
It is believed that earlier the fountain had a pool, and the niche had a larger recess. The name of the fountain literally translates as "Drink and see."
Now the fountain is a city water tap, from which residents of nearby houses take water.
As in the case of the larger Moissin fountain, the water was supplied through the hettra water supply system, which was organized under the Agdal Gardens and the Menara Gardens.
