The Zawiya of Sidi Abd el-Aziz (or Zaouia of Sidi Abdelaziz) is a mausoleum and historic religious construction located in the old Medina. It is a pilgrimage destination for many Muslims and is considered one of the most important sites in the city.
The Zawiya is the burial site of the Muslim scholar and Sufi saint Sidi Abd el-Aziz, a venerated saint and one of The Seven Saints of Marrakech, who died in 1508.
The architecture of the mausoleum is an example of Islamic art and is a beautiful structure adorned with traditional Moroccan zellige tiles with beautiful wood carving.
