The Asbyrgi Canyon is a picturesque horseshoe—shaped depression in the northeast of Iceland. The canyon was formed as a result of a catastrophic glacial flood during the last ice Age. It is located on the territory of the Vatnajokull National Park. The length of this natural object is approximately 3.5 kilometers, and the width is 1.1 kilometers.
