Grjótagjá Cave is a lava cave near Lake Myvatn, in the Nordürland-Eystra region. There is a thermal spring inside the cave, which for many years has been used by locals and tourists as a public bath. But due to the lava activity, the water temperature rose, and bathing was prohibited.
