In Cetinje we got on the way to Podgorica. And they hung up... I've probably never been to such historic old places in my life. As much as I dislike the word "lamp", but this is the closest. Moreover, it is not retro or vintage there, it is totally historical, this city.
According to the Constitution of Montenegro, Cetinje is one of the two capitals of the state. The official residence of the President of Montenegro is located in the city, as well as the country's Ministry of Culture.
A very, very interesting place with a deep history, in which literally every stone is saturated with time. We can say that when you get to Cetinje, you leave the boundaries of the "here and now" in a familiar context and fall into some historical layers of the world order.
It was Badni Dan (Christmas Eve), cut young oak trees were sold all over the streets. It would be very interesting to attend the event itself, but for this you need to know the places.
I found an interesting article about Badni dan, after reading it it became warm and cozy. And I wish you!
I really like the national tradition of drying clothes outside. It is very cute. If you've ever done this, you know the smell of such underwear. It's like from childhood. There's no mistaking it.
If they ask me what perfect proportions are, I'll show them. Although they are not perfect according to the classics, of course.
Clay tiles are also a special chic. Nothing turns roofs into works of art like natural tiles. The appearance of the city totally depends on them.
Swing. And even this looks like an art object. And even this pleases the eye. There is a very special mood in this city. I don't even have anything to compare it with...
Look at the trees! They are very old. The climate in Cetinje is temperate continental, it is quite fresh and humid here, not like on the coast. It is very comfortable, but I found information that it can be rainy, because the city is located at the foot of the Lovchen mountain range in a certain basin, which determines its microclimate.
Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary 'on Chipura'.
A park in Cetinje. Nothing superfluous.
It's an overly idyllic classic.

This is a cafe. The very concept of the establishment is the owner's personal cafe. That is, he lives here and cooks food for the guests. The format is amazing. The food is homemade. That is, he cooks it in the kitchen. In ordinary dishes, just like at home. We ate the food like at home. Not like in a restaurant. Potatoes with meat, salad, some kind of cradle. A chop. At the end of this trip here, and thanks to this institution, the owner of which cordially offered raki, I completely turned the format of a stranger inside out.
We drove on. To Podgorica. I'm silent. I really liked Cetinje. I hope you do too. But photos are so few if you travel around Montenegro - I highly recommend it. An amazing pastime is provided!
Instead of concluding: you have just looked at these photos with me, we walked around the city for a long time, have you seen at least one store violating the facades of buildings? And anyway, at least one store??
