The Harbin International Ice and Snow Festival, which has been held in China since 1963, will open on January 5, 2025. What to see?
On January 5, 2025, the opening ceremony of the annual 41st Harbin International Ice and Snow Festival will take place, but most of the sculptures can be viewed from December 17, 2024. The festival lasts for about 2 months, until the end of February, when the sculptures will begin to melt.
Since the beginning of December, Chinese craftsmen have been collecting ice from the Sungari River, and by the end of the month they had completed the creation of an ice town with an area of 1.5 square kilometers.
The International festival is visited annually by millions of tourists from all over the world. Among the activities: ice skating, ice skating, hockey games. You can also buy a ticket and ride on the Ferris wheel to view Harbin and snow sculptures from the air.
