Ventspils beach

If in Riga and Jurmala the sea is represented only by the shallow waters of the Gulf of Riga, then in Ventspils you can see the real Baltic Sea with waves, depth and wind. The swimming season here lasts from the end of June to the middle of August. The beach of the city of Ventspils is considered one of the best in Latvia. It is quite wide with white sand and numerous playgrounds for children.

About the beach

Ventspils beach, Latvia

The beach of Ventspils is marked with a "Blue Flag" icon. This means that it meets international environmental quality standards. In summer, there are beach volleyball courts, children's beach towns and swings, and numerous cafes.

The beach is adapted for people with disabilities, equipped with comfortable bridges with railings and special platforms. There is also a professional rescue service on the Ventspils beach. An observation tower (19 m above sea level) is installed next to the beach, at the South Pier. There is a separate area for nudists and a specially landscaped beach for surfers.
