The Torii Gate (Torii of Higashi Shiraura Jinja Temple) is an architectural monument that is a recognizable symbol of Japan. It was built of marble on the slope of a hill near the village of Vzmorye in 1940. I tell you that the gate was built at the expense of Yamagi Takeo in honor of the 2600th anniversary of the formation of Great Japan.
The Torii Gate marks the entrance to the sacred grounds of the Shinto shrine. The choice of the monument's construction site was due to the previously located temple "Higashi Shiraura Inari Jinja", which was built in 1914, but destroyed during the Soviet period.
