Cape Evstafia
Cape Evstafia

Cape Evstafia is a cape unique in its nature, which connects Sakhalin with a small island with a thin spit. The length of the spit in the lower part is less than 100 meters, and the height is about 1 meter above sea level. In a storm, it becomes invisible. The height of the cape at the top point is 28 meters above sea level. The place is unique in its nature. Climbing to the top, you can admire the magnificent scenery in the waters of the Sea of Okhotsk and the Aniva Bay of the Sea of Japan.

Cape Evstafia

The cape was named by the Russian navigator I.F. Kruzenshtern in honor of the battleship that boarded the flagship of the Turkish squadron, the ship Real Mustafa, in 1770 in the Battle of Chesma.
