St. Peter's Church in Old Jaffa is the Franciscan Church, built in 1654, was the center of Christianity in Jaffa. The architecture of the church belongs to the Neo-Gothic style and is considered one of the most beautiful churches in Israel.

St. Peter's Church is known for its beautiful stained glass windows and the altar, which was made in the shape of a boat in honor of the fishermen who lived in Jaffa for many centuries.

It is believed that the church was built on the remains of the 13th century citadel of St. Louis, located outside and to the right of the sacristy. The remains include as many as two round-shaped rooms, with low ceilings and fire embrasures. According to legend, these rooms became Napoleon's chambers during the siege of Jaffa in 1799
