About the volcano

The volcano is located just 25 kilometers from Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. The ascent to the top takes only 5 hours along a comfortable and fairly gentle path. The most difficult thing is to move directly in the cone – the abundance of loose slag makes it difficult to move. No special equipment is required in the summer. From the top there is a magnificent view of the Koryaksky Sopka volcano.
