Thingvellir National Park (Þingvellir) is one of three UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Iceland. There is the Haukadalur geothermal valley (Geisir), Gullfoss Waterfall and Tingvallavatn — the largest natural lake in Iceland. Aesthetic beauty reigns in this park: dried magmatic fields covered with Icelandic moss, glacial springs, rocks at the junction of the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates — this is one of the few regions in the world where you can see geology like this on land.
