The Theatre Royal – an incredible example of Moroccan 21st century architecture and culture. The unique open stage resembling an amphitheater gives the perception of opera, ballet or musical show completely different colors.
Concert at the Theatre Royal of Marrakech
The theatre, designed by renowned architect Charles Boccara, opened on 19 September 2001 after more than 25 years of design and construction. The building stands at the intersection of the wide boulevards of Mohammed VI and Hassan II.
The theatre is a wonderful combination of Moroccan and French influences, with its richly decorated arches, colorful tiles and intricate carving. The theatre performs various performances, including traditional Moroccan music, theatre and dance.
