Jardin Majorelle is a stunning botanical garden located in the heart of Marrakech. The garden was created in the 1920s by French artist Jacques Majorelle and is currently owned by fashion designer Yves Saint Laurent and his partner Pierre Berger.
The garden has been created for forty years. Surrounded by walls, it consists of a maze of intersecting alleys and intertwining levels and buildings in the Moorish Art Deco style. In 1980, the park was planned to be demolished and a residential complex built in its place, but Yves Saint Laurent and Pierre Berger decided to save the park by buying it out.

The most striking feature of the garden is the bright blue walls that surround it. This blue color is known as Majorelle Blue and was created by the artist Jacques Majorelle himself. The blue color is said to be inspired by the blue of the Moroccan sky and the Mediterranean Sea.

There are many sculptures, fountains and other works of art in the garden. One of the most famous sculptures is the bronze statue of Yves Saint Laurent, which was created in his honor. Various events and workshops are often held in the garden.
