The Statue of Medea is a bronze statue of the Colchian Princess Medea on Europe Square in Batumi. Medea is a character from Greek mythology, the daughter of the king of Colchis (the Black Sea coast). Medea holds in her hand a golden woolen fleece of sheep, which means a symbol of the greatness and prosperity of her country, and her gaze is directed towards the Black sea.
