The Reykjavik Maritime Museum (Sjóminjasafnið í Reykjavik) introduces visitors to the centuries-old history of Iceland's fishing fleet and the way of life of the settlements.

The collection presents real ships and their smaller copies, showing the evolution of swimming facilities from the simplest boat to sailboats and motorboats. You can also see antique scuba gear, ship's gear, cabin equipment, local fish semi-finished products, clothes of sailors and fishermen.
