The Pena Palace (Palacio da Pena, Palácio da Pena) is a national castle, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It used to be the summer residence of the royal family, but now it is a museum in the halls of which authentic 19th century interiors have been preserved: furniture, ceramics, wall murals and murals, paintings, sculptures, porcelain, chandeliers, copper dishes with the royal coat of arms and much more.
The castle is surrounded on all sides by the large Pena Park, which occupies more than 200 hectares. It has preserved gardens, bridges, caves, fountains, sculptures and gazebos of those times. The castle stands on a hilltop above the Sintra.
