Nonnie House
The wooden house, built in the 1840s, is one of the oldest houses in Akureyri. As a child, it was the home of the famous children's writer and Jesuit priest Jon Sveinsson, also known as "Nonni". His personal belongings and editions of his books in different languages are kept here. The museum was founded in 1957 by the Zonta Club, but in 2008 they transferred it to the municipality of Akureyri.
