Church Museum in Akureyri
The Church Museum in Akureyri (Minjasafnið á Akureyri) is located in the oldest part of the city, next to the Akureyri Museum and the Nonni House. It is an architectural monument and part of the collection of the Akureyri Museums. The church was originally located on the opposite shore of the fjord and was built in 1846. A chandelier from 1688 has been preserved inside. The beauty of the church lies in its simple and elegant architecture.
