Herdubreid (Herðubreið) is a table mountain volcano located in the northeast of Iceland, on the Odadahraun desert lava field. This impressive 1,682-meter-high mountain is often called the "queen of the Icelandic mountains", and in 2002 it was recognized as the "national mountain of Iceland".
