About the volcano

The landscapes around Tolbachik are unique – the Great Fractured Tolbachin eruption, which lasted 17 months, covered many kilometers with slag, pastures and deciduous forests were destroyed. Now it is called the Dead Forest. At sunset, the landscapes resemble Martian photographs.

Tolbachik

Seismologists report that magma is shifting towards the neighboring extinct Bolshaya Udina Sopka, which is beginning to "wake up". A catastrophic explosive magma breakthrough is potentially possible in it.
