The Kronotsky State Nature Reserve is one of the oldest biosphere territories in Russia. On the territory of 1,147,619 hectares there are 8 volcanoes, the Valley of Geysers, the caldera of the Uzon volcano, the Valley of Death and many other unique natural attractions. A significant part of the reserve is located on the territory of  The Kronotsky Peninsula. The reserve is a specially protected area and a UNESCO World Cultural and Natural Heritage Site.
