Kleifarvatn is the largest lake on the Reykjavik Peninsula, located in the southern part of the peninsula. It is located in the fractured zone of the Mid-Atlantic Ridge. Kleifarvatn is not fed by any rivers; all the water entering and flowing out of it comes from the porous lava rocks around it.
