Floating Market in Damnoen Saduak, Thailand
Initially, most of the territory in Damnoen Saduak was overland. In order to connect the waterways of the area, a canal was dug, through which water was released and transport links were established.
Most of the workers who built the Damnoen Saduak canal were Chinese. When the construction was completed, they settled on two banks of the canal, which led to the emergence of a floating market and a coastal village.
