Monument of Christ the King
Monument of Christ the King or Cristo Rey (Santuário de Cristo-Rei, Cristo-Rei Christ Statue) is a 28—meter-high statue of Jesus Christ on a 75-meter-high pedestal. It was built in 1959 with public donations. The monument is installed on the opposite bank of the Tagus River opposite Lisbon in the city of Almada.
