Trinidad is located in the southeastern part of the country, known for its bright colors, cobbled streets and colonial architecture. The city is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is one of the best preserved colonial cities in the Caribbean.

Overview

Trinidad was founded in 1514 by Diego Velazquez de Cuellar and was a significant major port through which sugar, rum and honey were exported.
