About the church

Stykkishólmskirkja

The church was designed by architect Jon Haraldsson, and the altar piece was painted by the Icelandic artist Kristin Gunnlaugsdottir. The church is known for its excellent acoustics and hosts regular musical events. In January 2012, the new church organ "Klays" was inaugurated with 22 steps.
